PJ Library and PJ Our Way Book Swap

This event is for families in the PJ Library and PJ Our Way programs in Ulster County. The Book Swap is intended for children who wish to swap old books for “new” ones, or ones they haven’t read yet. It is also for any family raising their child/ren Jewish who wishes to join PJ Library. They are welcome to take home a few books. Refreshments will be available. Learn several core practices of The Compassionate Listening Project to transform the energy of conflict into opportunities for deeper understanding, even with people of differing views than your own. You will track your triggering, cultivate your Fair Witness, explore The Drama Triangle and Circle of Empowerment, express your feelings and deepest values and listen respectfully and with curiosity to those of others. In this safe setting, we will workshop specific ways to shift unproductive conversations into opportunities to listen and speak from the heart about this urgent and challenging situation.
