I’m a chef and restaurateur operating a farm to table establishment in a landmarked property in the village of New Paltz. Before moving here 16 years ago I was an enthusiastic supporter of farmers markets in NYC. Thrilled to be moving to the area that grew the produce I loved so much, I was disappointed that local Hudson Valley restaurants at that time were not sourcing from their local farmers. I opened my restaurant with the idea of creating an unpretentious neighborhood gathering place that served delicious locally sourced meals, inspired by the best home cooking from all over the world. The relationships we have forged in this community with farmers, cheese makers and artisans are rewarding on many levels, linking pleasure and food with awareness and social responsibility.
