An improv workshop is a guided, interactive session where participants play games that help develop active listening, observational and collaborative skills while having fun. We create unscripted scenes where we learn to be present in the moment. Initially, we play kindergarten like games to break the ice where you say your name and one sentence about anything. After the introductions, we learn to play the, “Yes, And” game. This teaches us to accept what our scene partners say and then, we add our own information. Hopefully, participants will feel free to be silly in an environment where we play games that help us to become less self conscious and judgmental.
