Let’s join together to help build a more connected and sustainable Hudson Valley. One thing that seems to be missing is a vehicle for connecting folks to each other for sharing rides. Whether for traveling to NYC, the Berkshires, or the Capital Region — or for common routes within Kingston and the Hudson Valley (New Paltz to Woodstock, Kingston to Catskill, etc.), public transportation options are limited and costly; gas and tolls can be a financial burden; and there are of course social and environmental benefits to sharing rides and having fewer cars on our roads. Imagine the hikes that could be taken, the events that could be attended, the barriers that could be lifted, and the connections that could be made. Let’s drive change together! The meet-up will include a story-share (from hitchhike tales to Blah Blah Car); a discussion about  existing platforms, resources and needs; and action steps to immediately pilot a vehicle for Hudson Valley ride-share connections. Car pools, bike trains, public transit and more.  Feel free to bring snacks, stories, ideas, and resources to share.
