Mariam, mujer cisg\u00e9nero de clase media, es oman\u00ed e inglesa, y ha tenido el privilegio de vivir en Om\u00e1n, Malasia, Inglaterra, Vietnam y Estados Unidos. Su identidad mixta y sus primeras experiencias de viaje y hogar(es) han conformado su compromiso con la justicia social y la equidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La pertenencia y la inclusi\u00f3n son elementos centrales de la labor de Mariam, empezando por su formaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica en salud mundial centrada en el acceso de las mujeres y los inmigrantes a la atenci\u00f3n sanitaria. Ha pasado la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada defendiendo los derechos de los trabajadores inmigrantes en el Golfo \u00c1rabe, como investigadora y como donante. Llega a Transici\u00f3n Justa desde este punto de vista laboral y desde un antiguo amor por el mundo natural. A los ocho a\u00f1os empez\u00f3 a escribir un libro sobre animales en peligro de extinci\u00f3n, que consist\u00eda en copiar y pegar datos sobre grandes felinos de una enciclopedia en CD-ROM. Desde entonces ha aprendido lo que es el plagio, \u00a1pero a\u00fan alberga la ambici\u00f3n de escribir un libro!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El papel de Mariam como Directora de Operaciones y Patrocinio Fiscal en GWI le permite combinar su entusiasmo por el proceso y la organizaci\u00f3n con una filosof\u00eda de atenci\u00f3n y conexi\u00f3n con las personas y los proyectos a los que sirve.
