Con protestas que llenan las calles y plazas de todo el valle del Hudson, en comunidades de todo el pa\u00eds y ahora tambi\u00e9n de todo el mundo, es dif\u00edcil exagerar la profundidad de nuestra frustraci\u00f3n, rabia y dolor. Las muertes tr\u00e1gicas y sin sentido de tantas personas de color nos han llevado a este momento. No toleraremos vivir silenciados en un lugar que dice defender la libertad y la b\u00fasqueda de la felicidad y, en cambio, aterroriza y oprime a tantas personas. Como naci\u00f3n, no nos hemos atrevido a afrontar las profundas desigualdades y el sufrimiento que existen debido a nuestra historia de esclavitud y al racismo que impregna nuestra sociedad. Pero ahora parece que somos m\u00e1s los que estamos dispuestos a alzar la voz y a presionar con fuerza para asegurarnos de que \u00e9ste sea un momento que traiga consigo una verdadera reforma y curaci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En GWI nos solidarizamos con el movimiento Black Lives Matter. Defendemos <a href=\"https:\/\/goodworkinstitute.org\/es\/just-transition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Transici\u00f3n justa (se abre en una nueva pesta\u00f1a)\">Transici\u00f3n justa<\/a>con sus cinco principios interconectados, porque creemos en la posibilidad de un futuro diferente en el que la justicia racial y la equidad social est\u00e9n en el centro, un futuro de comunidades locales diversas, equitativas y pr\u00f3speras. La justicia racial es el principio de la Transici\u00f3n Justa en el que debemos centrarnos ahora, con urgencia. Eso significa que cada uno de nosotros debe mirar tanto hacia dentro como hacia fuera, actuar dentro de nosotros mismos y en nuestras comunidades, y ver d\u00f3nde nos estamos quedando cortos. \u00bfSomos c\u00f3mplices de la supremac\u00eda blanca? \u00bfEstamos actuando realmente desde un lugar de antirracismo pr\u00e1ctico y proactivo? \u00bfD\u00f3nde podemos construir la solidaridad y el poder para lograr el cambio?&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estamos viviendo una tormenta catacl\u00edsmica perfecta, una crisis \u00fanica en el siglo: una pandemia mundial, un colapso econ\u00f3mico y un ajuste de cuentas largamente esperado con un racismo arraigado, corrosivo y mortal. Ya conocemos las asombrosas estad\u00edsticas de Estados Unidos: m\u00e1s de 100.000 muertes confirmadas a causa del COVID-19, m\u00e1s de 40 millones de parados, cientos de miles de peque\u00f1as empresas que ya han desaparecido y hasta un mill\u00f3n de posibles quiebras. Las comunidades de color son las m\u00e1s afectadas por todo esto, de forma desproporcionada.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuestro buen trabajo est\u00e1 siendo reclamado con m\u00e1s fuerza que nunca. Nuestra visi\u00f3n de una econom\u00eda regenerativa y una sociedad justa, basada en la Transici\u00f3n Justa y la autodeterminaci\u00f3n de las comunidades, est\u00e1 emergiendo en nuestra regi\u00f3n. Se manifiesta en la ayuda mutua, en las protestas multitudinarias y en las reuniones pac\u00edficas de solidaridad, en el dolor comunitario y en las reivindicaciones, en la b\u00fasqueda de nuevas respuestas y nuevas formas de hacer y de ser. Tambi\u00e9n se manifiesta en el reconocimiento de los privilegios de los blancos, en el estr\u00e9s y la fatiga de nuestras comunidades negras y marrones, en un cambio definitivo en el discurso p\u00fablico sobre la violencia policial y la lacra del encarcelamiento, en una visi\u00f3n m\u00e1s transparente de la realidad de la vida de las personas en este momento.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depende de nosotros defender la Transici\u00f3n Justa, mano a mano, con fe. Lo que parec\u00eda imposible hace s\u00f3lo unos meses est\u00e1 ocurriendo.
