Just Transition Zine<\/a> producido por Movement Generation. Inmediatamente me llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n la secci\u00f3n titulada \"El significado del hogar\". Antes me hab\u00edan hecho preguntas como \"\u00bfD\u00f3nde est\u00e1 tu casa?\" y \"\u00bfCu\u00e1l es tu lugar?\", y normalmente daba la respuesta est\u00e1ndar, que era el nombre de la ciudad donde viv\u00eda en ese momento. Pero cada vez sent\u00eda m\u00e1s que esa respuesta no era completa. Y despu\u00e9s de sumergirme profundamente en el Zine y tener innumerables discusiones en torno al \"lugar\", el significado de hogar empez\u00f3 a sonar de forma diferente para m\u00ed. <\/p>\n\n\n\nEl hogar es un lugar. Es una casa en la ciudad en el condado en la regi\u00f3n en el estado en el pa\u00eds en el planeta donde mi marido y yo criamos a nuestras tres hijas. Es el lugar donde cultivo la tierra y las relaciones. Son todos los lugares donde me re\u00fano con amigos y familiares para compartir historias y risas, comidas y penas, sanaci\u00f3n y crecimiento. Es el lugar donde encuentro los rincones m\u00e1s dulces para colocar mis plantas de interior y mis jardines de exterior. Son los largos senderos y los rincones secretos del bosque donde voy a reflexionar y a buscar comida. Son los rincones tranquilos donde pinto y donde nos acurrucamos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
El hogar es una idea. Hogar es lo que a\u00f1oro cuando estoy lejos. Hogar son los gloriosos aromas de una Navidad puertorrique\u00f1a. Es el sonido del Hip Hop de la vieja escuela los viernes, Geetmala los s\u00e1bados por la ma\u00f1ana, Ella Fitzgerald un domingo soleado por la tarde y Salsa todos los d\u00edas. El hogar es el calor de la estufa de le\u00f1a y el sabor del pollo guisado. El hogar es ese olor a brisa que me transporta a los interminables d\u00edas de verano de mi infancia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
El hogar son las personas. Es la familia que me dieron y la familia que eleg\u00ed. Son los amigos con los que crec\u00ed y que se han mudado, pero cada vez que nos vemos es como si no hubiera pasado el tiempo. Son los amigos de los que me he distanciado. Son los amigos a los que sigo tan unida. Son las personas que han vuelto a mi vida tras largos periodos de separaci\u00f3n. Es la gente para la que cocino. Es la gente de las comunidades donde trabajo y juego. Es la gente con la que comparto bromas privadas y mis compa\u00f1eros de pensamiento. Es la gente con la que comparto espacios a diario. Es mi marido. Son nuestros hijos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
El hogar es un sentimiento. Es la satisfacci\u00f3n de trabajar la tierra. Es la comodidad de caer en la cama despu\u00e9s de un largo d\u00eda. But even with this strong foundation, he struggled with fear of the world, a lack of motivation, and what would have most likely been diagnosed as depression. Through time, deep self-work, fatherhood, and connection, Micah learned to discard the self-defining term \u201cshy\u201d, understanding that he doesn\u2019t need to define himself at all, but rather is free to feel and act as he chooses in the present.
