Ha llegado una nueva estaci\u00f3n al Valle del Hudson y, con ella, una oleada de nuevas y continuas buenas obras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En septiembre, tuvimos el honor de celebrar una velada con los l\u00edderes espirituales Teyuna de Colombia en la Antigua Iglesia Holandesa de Kingston. Poco menos de 300 asistentes se unieron a nosotros en esta rara oportunidad de pasar tiempo con Teyuna, mientras nos instaban a vivir desde un espacio de armon\u00eda y a recordar nuestra interdependencia con todos los seres vivos y lugares. Esta din\u00e1mica cohorte de becarios representa un conjunto rico y diverso de perspectivas procedentes de una gran variedad de entornos y experiencias. En septiembre, Terri Hall se uni\u00f3 al equipo de GWI. Como Directora de Redes y Comunicaciones, Terri colaborar\u00e1, fortalecer\u00e1, administrar\u00e1, har\u00e1 crecer y se comunicar\u00e1 con la Red del Buen Trabajo en apoyo de los programas de GWI. Nacida en Nueva York, Terri reside en el Valle del Hudson desde hace 14 a\u00f1os. Aporta a GWI una experiencia diversa que incluye los mundos de la danza profesional, la radiodifusi\u00f3n p\u00fablica y el aprendizaje hol\u00edstico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De Micah, capit\u00e1n de nuestro barco invernadero:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La renovaci\u00f3n del invernadero est\u00e1 en pleno apogeo. Hasta ahora, el espacio estaba cubierto de moqueta, paneles en las paredes y falsos techos. Pensamos: \"vamos a quitarlos\". Muy sencillo. Al abrir las paredes, se abrieron posibilidades y algunas sorpresas. Cuestiones estructurales, como paredes sin soporte, cuestionable por las normas de hoy en d\u00eda de todos modos; el uso de ladrillos para el aislamiento; y la oportunidad de rehacer la electricidad. Es un gran negocio, pero estamos muy emocionados por lo que el espacio se convertir\u00e1. Micah grew up in Mt.Vernon, NY with a family of strong women who guided him and showed him how to work with purpose and love while serving community, as well as a father who taught him to always widen his perspective. But even with this strong foundation, he struggled with fear of the world, a lack of motivation, and what would have most likely been diagnosed as depression. Through time, deep self-work, fatherhood, and connection, Micah learned to discard the self-defining term \u201cshy\u201d, understanding that he doesn\u2019t need to define himself at all, but rather is free to feel and act as he chooses in the present. With this new awareness, Micah began forging a new path. Micah creci\u00f3 en Mt. Vernon, Nueva York, con una familia de mujeres fuertes que le guiaron y le mostraron c\u00f3mo trabajar con prop\u00f3sito y amor mientras serv\u00eda a la comunidad, as\u00ed como un padre que le ense\u00f1\u00f3 a ampliar siempre su perspectiva. Pero incluso con esta s\u00f3lida base, luch\u00f3 contra el miedo al mundo, la falta de motivaci\u00f3n y lo que probablemente se habr\u00eda diagnosticado como depresi\u00f3n. Con el tiempo, un profundo trabajo personal, la paternidad y la conexi\u00f3n, Micah aprendi\u00f3 a descartar el t\u00e9rmino \"t\u00edmido\", entendiendo que no necesita definirse a s\u00ed mismo, sino que es libre de sentir y actuar como quiera en el presente. Con esta nueva conciencia, Micah empez\u00f3 a forjarse un nuevo camino.
