Ahora me parece una verdad que siempre he sabido, pero fue una revelaci\u00f3n cuando la o\u00ed por primera vez. Tambi\u00e9n explica por qu\u00e9 recuerdo con tanta claridad algo que ocurri\u00f3 hace m\u00e1s de veinte a\u00f1os.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>Estoy en una gran aula asistiendo a una sesi\u00f3n informativa para ver si quiero apuntarme a un popular curso de posgrado llamado algo as\u00ed como \"creatividad y dominio personal\". El profesor ha repartido un grueso temario y ha descrito los componentes y beneficios de la experiencia de aprendizaje que ofrece. Suena prometedor, casi demasiado bueno para ser verdad. La duda que me asalta se hace patente, as\u00ed que me armo de valor y levanto la mano. Me llama y expreso mi duda:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><em>Creo que nuestra vida laboral se reduce a tres cosas: qu\u00e9 hacemos, para qu\u00e9 lo hacemos y con qui\u00e9n lo hacemos. Y me he preguntado si no nos ir\u00eda bien si consigui\u00e9ramos hacer bien dos de estas tres cosas.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Qui\u00e9n sabe lo que el profesor <strong>dijo<\/strong> cuando me respondi\u00f3, porque lo que recuerdo es lo que \u00e9l <strong>hizo<\/strong>se ri\u00f3 de mi pregunta. Mi sistema nervioso dijo: \"No, gracias\" a ese tipo de entorno de \"aprendizaje\", y no segu\u00ed el curso.<\/p>\n\n<p>Dos d\u00e9cadas despu\u00e9s, y tres d\u00e9cadas en mi vida laboral, he tenido muchas oportunidades de pensar en esas tres cosas, intentando dar sentido a mis propias experiencias laborales, las de mis colegas y las de mis amigos. Mi perspectiva ha cambiado.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora pienso que aunque <strong>lo que hacemos<\/strong> y <strong>lo que hacemos<\/strong> <strong>para<\/strong> est\u00e1 en consonancia con nuestras capacidades y valores, si <strong>con qui\u00e9n lo hacemos<\/strong> est\u00e1 mal, va a ser una lucha. Y tambi\u00e9n creo lo contrario: si lo que hacemos y para qu\u00e9 lo hacemos no est\u00e1 del todo bien, pero <em>que<\/em> con quien lo hacemos es nutritivo y energizante, va a ser gratificante. En otras palabras, ahora creo que unas relaciones laborales saludables son m\u00e1s importantes para una experiencia laboral satisfactoria y de impacto que lo que hacemos o que est\u00e9 alineado con nuestro prop\u00f3sito personal.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>Pero aqu\u00ed est\u00e1 la cosa. El \"qui\u00e9n\" no es tan est\u00e1tico como parece. Como personas, no somos cantidades conocidas fijas e inmutables. Y no podemos inscribirnos para trabajar con un conjunto de personas perfectas para nosotros, con las que nunca tengamos desacuerdos, retos, tensiones o problemas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>Deja que tu mente repase todas tus relaciones. Aunque tengas algunas muy buenas, \u00bfhay alguna perfecta y sin problemas? Nuestra din\u00e1mica con los dem\u00e1s cambia d\u00eda a d\u00eda, interacci\u00f3n a interacci\u00f3n. Nos acercamos y conectamos m\u00e1s unos con otros, y nos distanciamos. Lo mismo ocurre en el trabajo. A veces nos presentamos a nuestras relaciones laborales con comprensi\u00f3n y cuidado, y a veces reaccionamos unos a otros, activando nuestras partes no sanadas.<\/p>\n\n<p>Vivimos, respiramos, aprendemos y crecemos cada d\u00eda. Y si tenemos suerte, estamos en un lugar de trabajo que nos apoya en nuestro aprendizaje y crecimiento. Mi colega Micah ofrece a menudo esta declaraci\u00f3n audaz y convincente: \"Nuestros lugares de trabajo y nuestras relaciones laborales pueden ser fuentes de transformaci\u00f3n personal... pasamos demasiado tiempo en el trabajo para que no lo sean\".\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tal vez sea tu turno de experimentar una duda que te asalta, tal vez en forma de pregunta: <strong>pero <em>c\u00f3mo <\/em>\u00bfPuedo aprovechar al m\u00e1ximo el potencial de mis relaciones laborales?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Puesto que la posibilidad de establecer relaciones laborales perfectas con personas perfectamente adecuadas para nosotros es nula, en lugar de intentar encontrar un esfuerzo colectivo compuesto \u00fanicamente por las personas \"adecuadas\", <strong>Ahora creo que centrar la atenci\u00f3n en <\/strong><strong><em>c\u00f3mo<\/em><\/strong><strong> de las relaciones laborales es de vital importancia:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>C\u00f3mo<\/strong> \u00bfpodr\u00edamos llegar a aceptar que surjan tensiones en nuestras relaciones laborales y desarrollar habilidades compartidas para afrontar esos momentos con intenci\u00f3n, preparados para emerger del otro lado con un mayor cuidado y comprensi\u00f3n mutuos?<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>C\u00f3mo<\/strong> \u00bfpodr\u00edamos darnos cuenta de que cuando el miedo al conflicto nos hace evitar darnos retroalimentaci\u00f3n, nos robamos mutuamente las perspectivas externas que necesitamos y la incomodidad apoyada que nos ayuda a crecer?<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>C\u00f3mo<\/strong> \u00bfpodr\u00edan las estructuras, pol\u00edticas y pr\u00e1cticas de nuestra organizaci\u00f3n cambiar en la direcci\u00f3n de apoyar la salud de las organizaciones vivas compuestas por seres vivos (\u00a1nosotros!)?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Estas preguntas sobre el \"c\u00f3mo\" animan nuestras secciones \"Democratizar el trabajo\" y \"Navegar por los conflictos\". <a href=\"https:\/\/goodworkinstitute.org\/es\/workshops\/\">talleres<\/a>donde exploramos el potencial positivo de nuestros lugares de trabajo y relaciones laborales, en lugar de vivir en su lado negativo.
