Preguntan: \"Bueno, \u00bfqu\u00e9 se ha financiado? Y nosotros respondemos: Nada. Quer\u00edamos ofrecer a un grupo de miembros de la comunidad la oportunidad de sumergirse en el aprendizaje de todo tipo de cosas que pudieran aplicarse al dise\u00f1o de un fondo, y luego dise\u00f1ar el fondo. Aprendimos sobre distintas formas de tomar decisiones en torno al dinero (por ejemplo, presupuestos participativos, asambleas ciudadanas, filantrop\u00eda basada en la confianza, sou-sous); escuchamos a personas que gestionan distintos tipos de fondos (por ejemplo, fondos integrados de inversi\u00f3n de capital como Boston Impact Initiative o Black Farmer Fund); los participantes investigaron y estudiaron la ciudad de Kingston para ver qu\u00e9 servicios y fondos exist\u00edan ya y d\u00f3nde hab\u00eda lagunas; hablamos y reflexionamos profundamente sobre el papel del dinero en la sociedad y en nuestras propias vidas; nosotros mismos practicamos el liderazgo compartido y la toma de decisiones democr\u00e1tica.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>El grupo tambi\u00e9n coimagin\u00f3 c\u00f3mo podr\u00eda ser el futuro si la comunidad decidiera ad\u00f3nde ir\u00edan a parar los fondos.<\/strong> Lucharon con la idea de abordar las necesidades urgentes derivadas de los sistemas actuales en los que vivimos o de financiar proyectos de futuro para fomentar formas positivas y radicales de ser comunidad. Se interesaron mucho por la idea del procom\u00fan y se preguntaron c\u00f3mo ser\u00eda si Kingston tuviera m\u00e1s recursos compartidos en general. \u00bfPodr\u00edan dise\u00f1ar un fondo para ello?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De enero a marzo, el grupo pas\u00f3 de combinar el aprendizaje y el dise\u00f1o a centrarse exclusivamente en el dise\u00f1o. A\u00f1adimos estos 3 meses adicionales cuando supimos que necesit\u00e1bamos m\u00e1s tiempo. Esta fase del trabajo colaborativo supuso empezar a crear y perfeccionar la visi\u00f3n, la misi\u00f3n, la estructura y los procesos de toma de decisiones del fondo. Lo llamamos hacer el \"anteproyecto\" de un fondo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hemos aprendido que hay una gran diferencia entre reflexionar sobre lo que hemos aprendido colectivamente y realmente <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decidir<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> sobre el dise\u00f1o del fondo en colaboraci\u00f3n. Las cuestiones que abord\u00f3 el grupo de dise\u00f1o eran grandes preguntas fundamentales que luego tuvieron que transformarse en respuestas espec\u00edficas. Creemos que un proceso de dise\u00f1o de fondos que genere confianza, comprensi\u00f3n y colaboraci\u00f3n entre miembros comprometidos de la comunidad es un experimento de trabajo conjunto. <strong>Creemos que este proceso de financiaci\u00f3n dise\u00f1ado por la comunidad es una manifestaci\u00f3n concreta del valor de los procesos colaborativos, equitativos y democr\u00e1ticos.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tambi\u00e9n es un ejemplo de c\u00f3mo las personas comprometidas con el cambio positivo pueden entrar en \u00e1mbitos que a menudo se consideran imposibles de influir, o del dominio de los expertos, y aportar soluciones profundamente meditadas a los problemas que han experimentado de primera mano.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>S\u00ed, es m\u00e1s lento. Pero lo que hemos perdido en velocidad, lo hemos ganado en la riqueza, integridad y reflexi\u00f3n con que este grupo ha abordado su mandato.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El grupo de dise\u00f1o del fondo representaba un microcosmos de la comunidad de Kingston. Se sintieron responsables de crear algo que ser\u00eda el primer paso hacia un experimento verdaderamente inclusivo y regenerador en el \u00e1mbito de los fondos comunitarios Y la construcci\u00f3n de la comunidad. Como grupo diverso de individuos, reunieron una amplia gama de perspectivas. Como personas dedicadas a hacer de Kingston un lugar mejor, un lugar donde todo el mundo pueda prosperar, crearon confianza y comprensi\u00f3n entre ellos, y aunaron sus esfuerzos para hacer frente a este dif\u00edcil problema del dinero y hacia d\u00f3nde fluye.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mi cofacilitador en este proyecto, Micah, lo dijo as\u00ed:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lo que siempre me ha parecido cierto es que las respuestas a los problemas colectivos las tiene el colectivo. <\/span><\/i><b><i>Las respuestas a los problemas que aquejan a cualquier grupo surgen mejor de ese grupo, y una verdadera democracia no est\u00e1 formada por representantes que convencen a cualquiera de su pericia, sino por cualquier grupo de personas corrientes que trabajan colectivamente en pos de un objetivo, optando por operar compartiendo el poder en lugar de acapararlo.<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Estoy convencido de que, con la atenci\u00f3n y el tiempo adecuados, todo es posible. Esta comunidad, y cualquier otra, puede al menos empezar a funcionar con recursos de otra manera.
