Ha sido un comienzo de a\u00f1o un tanto dif\u00edcil. Ha habido muchas enfermedades y los siete miembros de GWI no hemos sido inmunes a ellas. La semana pasada un colega dijo que febrero es el nuevo enero, dando a entender la necesidad de empezar de nuevo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estos momentos colectivos de lucha parecen indicar algo, pero puede ser dif\u00edcil descifrar qu\u00e9. \u00bfLo vemos como una necesidad de bajar el ritmo y hacer una pausa? \u00bfHemos estado presionando cuando deber\u00edamos estar hibernando? \u00bfO seguimos adelante, encontrando la fuerza que viene con la adversidad? \u00bfImporta siquiera qu\u00e9 camino elijamos? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lo que m\u00e1s me llama la atenci\u00f3n es c\u00f3mo nos apoyamos unos a otros en estos tiempos de adversidad, tanto grande como peque\u00f1a, personal y global. Hay un dicho budista que dice: \"El invierno nunca deja de convertirse en primavera\". Efectivamente, el invierno se convertir\u00e1 en primavera, hayamos descansado lo suficiente o no. Emergeremos con nuevas oportunidades ante nosotros. En este periodo de dificultades, enfermedades y retos, nos tendemos la mano unos a otros, nos damos la gracia, recogemos las cargas de los dem\u00e1s cuando podemos, nos sentamos junto a la cama y cogemos una mano porque nos importa. Estos actos nos conectan y confirman el poder de lo colectivo cuando las situaciones pueden hacernos sentir aislados. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pesar de las pruebas, a pesar de la ansiedad de un tiempo caluroso fuera de temporada (seguido de tormentas de nieve), el sol est\u00e1 tomando ese aire primaveral, los p\u00e1jaros se hacen o\u00edr y puedo sentir el florecimiento que pronto llegar\u00e1. No s\u00e9 si colectivamente hemos descansado lo suficiente, pero me sigue entusiasmando la energ\u00eda que llega y lo que podemos hacer crecer: las nuevas ideas, las ideas que se han estado filtrando, la oportunidad de comprometernos unos con otros. Micah grew up in Mt.Vernon, NY with a family of strong women who guided him and showed him how to work with purpose and love while serving community, as well as a father who taught him to always widen his perspective. But even with this strong foundation, he struggled with fear of the world, a lack of motivation, and what would have most likely been diagnosed as depression. Through time, deep self-work, fatherhood, and connection, Micah learned to discard the self-defining term \u201cshy\u201d, understanding that he doesn\u2019t need to define himself at all, but rather is free to feel and act as he chooses in the present. With this new awareness, Micah began forging a new path.
