Hace poco termin\u00e9 un curso de 8 semanas titulado Sobrevivir al futuro: una inmersi\u00f3n m\u00e1s profunda<\/em><\/a>. <\/em>Este curso, basado en el libro Sobrevivir al futuro<\/em><\/a> de David Flemming, fue creado por el editor de ese libro Shaun Chamberlin<\/a>. Los estudiantes se unieron desde todo el mundo y cada semana hab\u00eda un orador invitado, lecturas compartidas, poes\u00eda, m\u00fasica, v\u00eddeos y debates a trav\u00e9s de Zoom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El tema general del curso fue el colapso: el colapso de los sistemas que sostienen nuestras sociedades actuales, especialmente si se considera el cambio clim\u00e1tico como su iniciador. Desde mi punto de vista, existe una profunda conexi\u00f3n con la Transici\u00f3n Justa. La Transici\u00f3n Justa reconoce que nuestros sistemas actuales son injustos y que es esta injusticia la que est\u00e1 en la ra\u00edz del colapso. Los sistemas construidos sobre el crecimiento y la extracci\u00f3n sin fin no pueden crecer eternamente y hay un l\u00edmite a lo que se puede extraer. La Transici\u00f3n Justa aporta los principios y pr\u00e1cticas necesarios para la transici\u00f3n de nuestro actual paradigma extractivo a uno regenerativo, independientemente de lo que venga o de c\u00f3mo se vea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Algunos pensamientos que a\u00fan resuenan en m\u00ed: Una mirada honesta al estado actual de la humanidad, como m\u00ednimo, es dar la bienvenida a lo desconocido. Sin duda hubo numerosas conversaciones sobre el cambio clim\u00e1tico. Mucha ciencia y datos sobre la poblaci\u00f3n y lo que es realmente sostenible. Esto impuls\u00f3 un tema que surgi\u00f3 en numerosas ocasiones: esperanza frente a desesperanza. Pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la perspectiva que uno elija tener o sienta por el futuro, existe esta abrumadora sensaci\u00f3n de que ser\u00e1 diferente. \u00bfQu\u00e9 acci\u00f3n es la correcta? O\u00ed hablar mucho de esto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Transici\u00f3n Justa puede parecer un medio para arreglar lo que est\u00e1 roto, pero para m\u00ed, es m\u00e1s bien que los principios JT son una forma de expresar lo que muchos de nosotros simplemente elegir\u00edamos actuar, ser. Es una forma diferente de ser. No existen simplemente como reacci\u00f3n a un mundo injusto; son principios del mundo que estamos imaginando. Isa Fr\u00e9meaux, otra oradora invitada, habl\u00f3 del poder del activismo y de lo que puede manifestar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los oradores se basaron en el activismo directo, o en presentaciones basadas en datos, o en amplias conversaciones sobre diversos detalles del estado del mundo y de lo que est\u00e1 por venir, y al final a menudo apuntaron a amarse los unos a los otros. El amor, no como algo difuso que m\u00e1gicamente \"salvar\u00eda el mundo\", sino que amarnos los unos a los otros, amar el planeta, amar toda la vida es realmente lo m\u00e1s importante que podemos hacer.<\/strong> Una y otra vez o\u00ed expresar este sentimiento, y no sin pesar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vandana Shiva, una de nuestras ponentes invitadas, acad\u00e9mica, f\u00edsica cu\u00e1ntica, activista medioambiental, defensora de la soberan\u00eda alimentaria, ecofeminista y autora antiglobalizaci\u00f3n, lo expres\u00f3 de forma muy sencilla: necesitamos \"Verdad, Amor y Solidaridad\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me sigue sorprendiendo c\u00f3mo, incluso en una pantalla, a trav\u00e9s del Zoom, se pueden compartir sentimientos de verdad, amor y solidaridad. Encontr\u00e9 una profunda conexi\u00f3n con tantas personas dispuestas a abordar estos temas tan espinosos. No siempre est\u00e1bamos de acuerdo. No es necesario estar de acuerdo para conectar. Un di\u00e1logo sano implica compartir opiniones y una buena disposici\u00f3n. Esta voluntad nos ped\u00eda a cada uno ser vulnerable a veces. El dolor surgi\u00f3 a menudo. <\/strong>Stephen Jenkinson, orador invitado, habl\u00f3 de forma muy directa y profunda sobre la muerte. Hay mucho duelo por hacer y mucho por hacer.
