Tras la recesi\u00f3n, muchos se preguntaron para qu\u00e9 serv\u00eda todo ese trabajo, si las funciones para las que hab\u00edan sido formados no eran en realidad s\u00f3lo \"<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bullshit_Jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trabajos de mierda<\/a>.\" <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luego lleg\u00f3 el coronavirus, que puso al descubierto las iniquidades de nuestro sistema capitalista. Los \"trabajadores esenciales\" fueron llevados a nuevos l\u00edmites, mientras que otros se enfrentaron bruscamente a la confirmaci\u00f3n de que su trabajo era, de hecho, bastante superfluo para las necesidades de la sociedad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La desilusi\u00f3n con la cultura del trabajo dominante en Estados Unidos es especialmente <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/majority-gen-z-americans-hold-negative-views-capitalism-poll-1604334\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">aguda<\/a> A pesar de lo que nos hayan ense\u00f1ado, est\u00e1 claro que nuestra econom\u00eda no est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para ayudar a prosperar a las personas ni al planeta. Sin embargo, ni las empresas ni el Gobierno federal parecen dispuestos a redirigir la mano de obra y los recursos estadounidenses desde la acumulaci\u00f3n de beneficios hacia el trabajo decidido de la descarbonizaci\u00f3n, el cuidado y la resiliencia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfC\u00f3mo podemos avanzar en esa transici\u00f3n cuando las instituciones nacionales no est\u00e1n dispuestas? \u00bfY c\u00f3mo puede lograrse ese cambio radical para defender la justicia y dar rienda suelta al florecimiento humano? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el <a href=\"https:\/\/centerforneweconomics.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centro Schumacher para una Nueva Econom\u00eda<\/a> en Egremont, MA, nuestro trabajo consiste en imaginar una econom\u00eda justa y regenerativa y aplicar estos conceptos a nivel local. El Centro modela activamente herramientas para el cambio liderado por la comunidad, como iniciativas innovadoras de fideicomiso de tierras y moneda local, cuyo objetivo es devolver las decisiones sobre el uso de la tierra y la emisi\u00f3n de dinero a una escala m\u00e1s humana, fomentando al mismo tiempo un mayor intercambio y producci\u00f3n locales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La visi\u00f3n de la relocalizaci\u00f3n proviene del economista E.F. Schumacher, quien <a href=\"https:\/\/centerforneweconomics.org\/publications\/buddhist-economics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ense\u00f1\u00f3<\/a> la producci\u00f3n local para las necesidades locales como principio organizador clave de la vida econ\u00f3mica. Tras d\u00e9cadas de capitalismo global alimentado por combustibles f\u00f3siles, la relocalizaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica es vital para <a href=\"https:\/\/centerforneweconomics.org\/newsletters\/looking-to-import-replacement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reducir la dependencia de las importaciones<\/a>reducir las emisiones de la cadena de suministro mundial y fomentar una mayor reutilizaci\u00f3n de los materiales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gracias a mi trabajo en el Centro y a una mayor proximidad a otras iniciativas regionales, he llegado a comprender c\u00f3mo la relocalizaci\u00f3n puede ir de la mano de la idea de Schumacher <a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/books\/about\/Good_Work.html?id=zNbp9oYCR9sC&amp;source=kp_book_description\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">concepto<\/a> del \"Buen Trabajo\": la provocadora noci\u00f3n de que el trabajo debe \"ennoblecer tanto al producto como al trabajador\". M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la corriente dominante, el trabajo de regeneraci\u00f3n local est\u00e1 siendo liderado por agricultores agroecol\u00f3gicos, profesionales del textil natural, organizadores de la energ\u00eda solar comunitaria, peque\u00f1os fabricantes y otros pioneros en formas m\u00e1s suaves de satisfacer las necesidades humanas. Al invitar a la acci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica a otras personas de su entorno, estas iniciativas <a href=\"https:\/\/centerforneweconomics.org\/apply\/share-microcredit-program\/introduction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tender<\/a> aumentar el sentido de agencia econ\u00f3mica de las propias comunidades. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El papel de la comunidad en las bases de la transici\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica es crucial.
