Hubo 4 ponentes, entre ellos H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Lesterlin, del Instituto del Buen Trabajo, que es en s\u00ed mismo una forma de cooperativa, llamada sin \u00e1nimo de lucro autodirigida por los trabajadores. Tambi\u00e9n es cofundadora de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coworkwith.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CO<\/a>un espacio de cotrabajo de Rhinebeck de propiedad y gesti\u00f3n cooperativas. Los otros fueron Shawn Berry, de<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifteconomy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Econom\u00eda de ascensores<\/a>Johan Matthews de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mutualdesign.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dise\u00f1o mutuo<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/cooperativefund.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fondo Cooperativo del Nordeste<\/a>y Angela DeFelice de <a href=\"https:\/\/seedcommons.org\/co-op-hudson-valley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cooperativa Hudson Valley<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Empezamos por aprender qu\u00e9 son las empresas cooperativas (\"coops\"). La idea que inspira la creaci\u00f3n de una cooperativa es resolver un problema o satisfacer una necesidad insatisfecha de la comunidad. Hicimos un r\u00e1pido repaso de los distintos tipos de cooperativas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Existen <strong>cooperativas de productores<\/strong>En el que un grupo se re\u00fane para satisfacer una necesidad com\u00fan, como la compra de suministros a un precio m\u00e1s barato.<\/li><li><strong>Cooperativas de consumidores<\/strong> son las que pertenecen a los clientes: la empresa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rei.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">REI<\/a> es un ejemplo bien conocido.<\/li><li>Con <strong>cooperativas de trabajo asociado<\/strong>, la empresa es propiedad de los trabajadores y est\u00e1 gestionada por ellos - <a href=\"https:\/\/earthdesignscooperative.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cooperativa Earth Designs<\/a> es un ejemplo local.<\/li><li>Las cooperativas de plataforma son plataformas digitales -un sitio web o una aplicaci\u00f3n m\u00f3vil dise\u00f1ados para prestar un servicio o vender un producto- que son propiedad colectiva y est\u00e1n gobernadas por las personas que dependen de ellas y participan en ellas. <a href=\"https:\/\/drivers.coop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La cooperativa de conductores<\/a> en Nueva York es un ejemplo (compite con Uber).<\/li><li>En un <strong>cooperativa de viviendas<\/strong>, los residentes de la propiedad son los propietarios de la misma.<\/li><li>Tambi\u00e9n hay <strong>cooperativas h\u00edbridas<\/strong>que pueden combinar m\u00e1s de un tipo. Los pr\u00f3ximos <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingstonfoodcoop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cooperativa alimentaria de Kingston<\/a> pretende ser un h\u00edbrido, en el que tanto los consumidores como los trabajadores sean propietarios de la empresa. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coworkwith.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CO<\/a> es otro ejemplo de <strong>cooperativa multilateral<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras la presentaci\u00f3n hubo un breve turno de preguntas y respuestas. Alguien pregunt\u00f3 por las ventajas de ser trabajador-propietario. Se acord\u00f3 que se trata de una elecci\u00f3n personal, que da m\u00e1s libertad y m\u00e1s opciones, pero tambi\u00e9n m\u00e1s responsabilidad. Hubo una pregunta sobre la relaci\u00f3n entre las cooperativas y la organizaci\u00f3n comunitaria. Johan compar\u00f3 la estructura de las cooperativas con las de las organizaciones sin \u00e1nimo de lucro tradicionales y las empresas corporativas. Argument\u00f3 que ambas entidades incorporan \"desconexi\u00f3n por dise\u00f1o\" en sus estructuras, donde hay una gran separaci\u00f3n entre los que est\u00e1n en el poder y los trabajadores\/personas a las que sirven. Sugiri\u00f3 que la organizaci\u00f3n comunitaria es \"el suelo en el que crecen las empresas cooperativas\". En \u00faltima instancia, formar parte de una cooperativa implica un gran cambio en la forma en que uno se ve a s\u00ed mismo y su relaci\u00f3n con los bienes y servicios.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dado que las cooperativas son el resultado de la identificaci\u00f3n de una necesidad insatisfecha, a continuaci\u00f3n hicimos una lluvia de ideas sobre las necesidades insatisfechas en nuestra comunidad. Elaboramos una lista y nos dividimos en cuatro grupos para crear hipot\u00e9ticas cooperativas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mi grupo trabaj\u00f3 en la creaci\u00f3n de una cooperativa para abordar una necesidad dentro del amplio tema de la educaci\u00f3n. Los otros temas eran la vivienda, las relaciones entre clases y la soledad. Yo misma, los otros tres miembros del grupo y nuestra facilitadora, Angela, hicimos una lluvia de ideas sobre posibles cooperativas que pudieran aportar soluciones en el \u00e1mbito de la educaci\u00f3n. Se nos ocurri\u00f3 la idea de un programa extraescolar accesible. Alguien se\u00f1al\u00f3 que estos programas no funcionan para los estudiantes en situaci\u00f3n de mayor riesgo porque a menudo necesitan trabajar despu\u00e9s de clase. Decidimos que crear\u00edamos un programa para atender otra necesidad que observamos en la comunidad -formar a los j\u00f3venes para que se conviertan en expertos en resoluci\u00f3n de conflictos- y luego ofrecerles oportunidades remuneradas de utilizar estas habilidades. Fue muy divertido pensar en el impacto que podr\u00eda tener un programa as\u00ed. En los 25 minutos de que dispusimos hab\u00eda muchos detalles que concretar, pero nos dio una idea de todo lo que hay que planificar para poner en marcha una cooperativa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Volvimos a reunirnos y escuchamos las ideas de todos.
