Adem\u00e1s de prestar servicios de dise\u00f1o arquitect\u00f3nico, sus pr\u00e1cticas investigan y asesoran sobre materiales sostenibles con una ligera huella medioambiental. Con ra\u00edces en Oriente Medio, la zona de la bah\u00eda de California, Nueva York y actualmente en el valle del Hudson, el trabajo de Lara est\u00e1 influenciado por diversos paisajes y tradiciones artesanales. Trabaja como voluntaria para fomentar el cuidado del medio ambiente y la educaci\u00f3n interdisciplinar al aire libre en su comunidad. Lara ha terminado recientemente un espacio de biblioteca infantil que a\u00fana alfabetizaci\u00f3n, juego y dise\u00f1o ecol\u00f3gico, inspirado en la historia, el paisaje y la industria de una comunidad del r\u00edo Hudson. Ha trabajado para estudios de arquitectura y paisajismo como Bernheimer Architecture, Allied Works Architecture y James Corner Field Operations (en el parque High Line de Nueva York).
