Su vida laboral le llev\u00f3 a New Hampshire, Connecticut y Nueva York, y describe sus 25 a\u00f1os en la industria de la televisi\u00f3n como \"una \u00e9poca muy buena\". En 2012, John lleg\u00f3 al Valle del Hudson, e inmediatamente se enamor\u00f3 de la gente que conoci\u00f3. Se uni\u00f3 al comit\u00e9 de programaci\u00f3n del Teatro Rosendale, empez\u00f3 a hablar de la idea del Repair Cafe de \u00c1msterdam, y fue invitado a unirse a la junta de Sustainable Hudson Valley. John fue el director de programas de Solarize Hudson Valley de 2015 a 2018. Dedicado a ver prosperar su \"experimento en la cultura de la reparaci\u00f3n\", John act\u00faa como comunicador, coordinador y animador. 25 Repair Cafes est\u00e1n ahora en 10 condados en el HV y Catskills, todos organizados localmente, creativos y socialmente vibrantes, con m\u00e1s en la planificaci\u00f3n.
