Green Teen combina muchas de sus pasiones: trabajar con j\u00f3venes, cultivar alimentos, las artes y la educaci\u00f3n. Antes de eso fue consejera en un refugio de crisis para j\u00f3venes sin hogar. Su experiencia trabajando con j\u00f3venes en crisis la ha convertido en la mentora perfecta para los participantes en Green Teen. Los j\u00f3venes suelen acudir a ella en busca de orientaci\u00f3n antes de hablar con otros adultos. Ha trabajado como aprendiz en una granja, como educadora para varias organizaciones, incluida la Bard Prison Initiative, y como consultora para una ONG de microfinanciaci\u00f3n en Nigeria. Helanna es licenciada en Fotoperiodismo por el RIT y tiene un m\u00e1ster en Educaci\u00f3n Multicultural Human\u00edstica por SUNY New Paltz.
