Autumn, with its ephemeral beauty, reminds us to take in the present moment, even as we gear up for new work and changes ahead. It’s hard not to feel that back-to-school sense of possibility and renewed commitment!
In the last year, we at GWI have been navigating a slew of changes that realign our Good Work around the Just Transition. We invite you to take a look at our recent blog posts on what it has meant for us to become a Worker Self-Directed Nonprofit.
As you can imagine, this has us by turns in deep reflection and then busy putting into action new programs and spaces, in order to cultivate, connect, support and illuminate our network of changemakers throughout the Hudson Valley.
And now, we are so happy to announce that on November 8th we are celebrating the Grand Opening of the GWI Greenhouse, our new hub in Kingston!
The Greenhouse will serve as home base for GWI and for the needed revolution that is the Just Transition, providing a dedicated space to continue to support and connect with you via an array of events, workshops and ongoing services. Please join us for our opening celebration, when we will unveil the space, our plans for the year ahead, and introduce our team.
In this season of transitions, let’s be sure to pause, watch the leaves drift down, and breathe in the crisp air, so that we can return with clearer purpose, as we put into motion near-term and long-view projects. We look forward to seeing you soon!
