To Dwell in the Heart of the Mother: An evening of indigenous wisdom from the four families of the Teyuna: the Kogi, Arhuaco, Kankuamo, and Wiwa
The Teyuna’s four families (the Kogi, Arhuaco, Kankuamo, and Wiwa people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta region of Colombia) are among the last indigenous people who have continued to maintain their traditional ways unaffected by western culture. They have a deep connection to nature beyond what most of us in the West can imagine, and there are things we can learn from them that are particularly important at this time on the earth.
The Teyuna are coming back to the west 40 years after warning us that our actions were melting the glaciers; endangering the planet and that we should change our ways.
It was a warning we failed to heed.
Please join us for this rare opportunity to spend an evening with Teyuna, as they urge us, yet again, to dwell in the heart of the mother, and remember our interdependence with all living beings and places.
Tickets are pay what you wish, with all proceeds going to the Teyuna Foundation.
There will also be an optional, private reception with the Teyuna following the event for an additional donation of $25 or more.
